The aim of the project is to provide evidence of the added value of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) to climate change and to foster the implementation of EbA measures. In particular, this includes integrating EbA measures into public sector planning and decision-making processes while highlighting the added value of the EbA approach compared to ‘grey’ measures. The project operates in the framework of a cross-border learning and knowledge network in which ongoing IKI projects and think tanks also participate. It supports ongoing work on developing methods of EbA mainstreaming, demonstrating the advantages of EbA, promoting capacity development in the field of mainstreaming, and channelling the lessons learned into climate change negotiations.
