By reducing the risks of money being lost under the table, the project will increase confidence in and the volume of climate finance put on the table. Building on the successes achieved to date—a strengthened and engaged civil society and greater clarity regarding existing corruption risks—the project will contribute to the development of transparent and accountable climate policies, practices, and outcomes from the global to the local level, while consolidating emerging civil society leadership and independence on the issue at the regional level.

Working globally and with a selection of TI chapters in three regions, the project implements anti-corruption safeguards and solutions through education, targeted research, monitoring, and advocacy measures. Crucially, it will give a voice to victims and witnesses of corruption and ensure that the most vulnerable are not affected twice—by climate change and corruption. In addition, the emerging operations of the GCF (Green Climate Fund) in Korea will be supported through effective monitoring.
