{"id":11191,"date":"2018-06-06T16:01:54","date_gmt":"2018-06-06T21:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/catie-la-universidad-autonoma-chiapas-fortalecen-la-colaboracion-interinstitucional\/"},"modified":"2018-09-06T14:06:03","modified_gmt":"2018-09-06T19:06:03","slug":"catie-la-universidad-autonoma-chiapas-fortalecen-la-colaboracion-interinstitucional","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/en\/catie-la-universidad-autonoma-chiapas-fortalecen-la-colaboracion-interinstitucional\/","title":{"rendered":"CATIE and the Autonomous University of Chiapas strengthen interinstitutional collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Two Agronomy students do their thesis within the framework of BioPaSOS Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the purpose\u00a0 of generating \u00a0relevant information that helps face challenges in the livestock sector, climate change and biodiversity conservation in\u00a0 Chiapas, the Project Promoting Biodiversity Conservation through\u00a0Agrosilvo-pastoral practices in Landscapes Dominated by Livestock systems in three regions of Mexico, known as <a href=\"https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/en\/portafolio\/biopasos-biodiversity-and-sustainable-agrosilvopastoralist-livestock-landscapes\/\">BioPaSOS<\/a> (its Spanish acronym) gave economical support to two students to do their academic thesis.<\/p>\n<p>The benefited students are: Tania Elizabeth Gordillo Zebadua and Carlos Alberto Jim\u00e9nez V\u00e1squez, both students of Agronomy from the Agronomic Science faculty of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unach.mx\">Autonomous University of Chiapas<\/a> (FCA-UNACH, its Spanish acronym).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11186\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11186\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11186 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/Ilustrativa-1-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ilustrativa-1-700x525.jpg 700w, https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ilustrativa-1-360x270.jpg 360w, https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ilustrativa-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/iki-alliance.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ilustrativa-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11186\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Director of FCA-UNACH, Roberto Couti\u00f1o and Jos\u00e9 Antonio Jim\u00e9nez of BioPaSOS next<br \/>to students and professors at the signing of the agreement.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the signing of this agreement were present the following participants: Roberto Counti\u00f1o, director of the Agronomic Science Faculty from UNACH, Jos\u00e9 Guadalupe Araujo, academic secretary and Professors Ren\u00e9 Pinto, Francisco Guevara and Adalberto Hern\u00e1ndez, who will be collaborating with the development of the research thesis.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinator of BioPaSOS in Chiapas, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Jim\u00e9nez, said that with this interinstitutional agreement relationships are strengthened with local partners and the commitment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/\">CATIE<\/a> acquired with the signature of the agreement with UNCH in 2016 is reaffirmed.<\/p>\n<p>On his part, Roberto Couti\u00f1o ratified CATIE\u2019S and UNACH\u2019s commitment and encouraged the students to do a good thesis job so that way they can keep having opportunities of support from International institutions of first level.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Link of the article:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/catie-news\/3486-catie-and-the-autonomous-university-of-chiapas-strengthen-interinstitutional-collaboration.html\">https:\/\/www.catie.ac.cr\/en\/catie-news\/3486-catie-and-the-autonomous-university-of-chiapas-strengthen-interinstitutional-collaboration.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>This article is from the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE).
