Initial situation
The project provides tools to develop robust and ambitious Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies (LTS), aligned with Article 4.19 of the Paris Agreement and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), facilitating their submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The project also supports the development of a long-term vision and work programmes adapted to the conditions and needs of each country. This is achieved through direct engagement, close coordination with partners — including the NDC Partnership (NDCP) — and the development and dissemination of knowledge products.
Objectives
- Strengthen Mexico’s capacities for the design, development, and implementation of Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies (LTS).
