La Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT) y el proyecto “Preparación de un Sistema de Comercio de Emisiones (SCE) en México” implementado por la Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH por encargo del Ministerio Federal de Medio Ambiente de Alemania (BMU), tienen el agrado de invitarlo a participar en el Seminario “Diseñando los Aspectos Técnicos del Sistema de Comercio de Emisiones en México”, en el marco de la Semana Europea de la Diplomacia Climática.

El objetivo del seminario es presentar y discutir los resultados de estudios que han contribuido a la definición de los principales elementos técnicos del SCE en el país, a la luz de las recientes modificaciones a la Ley General de Cambio Climático.

Contará con la presencia de expertos internacionales en áreas como: diseño del límite de emisiones del sistema (cap); la relación del SCE con otros instrumentos como los Certificados de Energía Limpia y el Impuesto al Carbono y, salvaguardas para la competitividad de las industrias mexicanas.

The Mexican Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the project “Preparation of an Emissions Trading System (ETS) in Mexico” implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Environment Germany (BMU), are pleased to invite you to participate in the Seminar “Designing the Technical Aspects of the Emissions Trading System in Mexico”, within the framework of the European Week of Climate Diplomacy.

The objective of the seminar is to present and discuss the results of studies that have contributed to the definition of the main technical elements of the ETS in the country, in light of the recent amendments to the General Law on Climate Change.

Numerous international experts will attend, who are working in areas including cap, the relationship of ETS with other instruments such as Clean Energy Certificates and Carbon Tax as well as safeguards for the competitiveness of Mexican industries.
